Take the Land
The Israelites had escaped. They made it out of Egypt, barely. Through a series of reckless and faithless decisions, they find themselves wandering in the desert. An entire generation dies. If the promise made to Abraham had been revitalized by Moses, it had, at this point, begun to fade into a hopeless dream. Then, from among them and out of this desert place, a man rises; a leader among men. Refusing to accept a wandering life of unfulfilled promises, he emerges out in bold faith and confidence in God. His name is Joshua. He doesn’t just lead these people into the land of promise - he leads us there. He shows us the way and inspires hope and faith that calls us to courageous living.
