The fact is, our Sunday services are way too big to build real community…honestly. A few minutes of connection on Sunday are the tip of the iceberg. We wrestle with keeping the overall size of the church small for our own sake. But that always feels like we're saying, “I want to be a part of something great but don’t want anyone else to hear about it”. So how do we stay faithful to God’s call to reach out and make room for everyone, but still be able to connect in the kind of community intended for us? The answer is Community Groups.
We’ve decided to model ourselves like the first century church by having large group gatherings, and then also gathering in smaller contexts during the week. Community Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with Jesus, have fun, and make a difference. Getting in a group is simple. You can join a group by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by stopping by the resource center on a Sunday.
